Bonesteel Group is an aerospace, defense, and electronics hardware distribution platform. Our operating companies supply the engineered components that go into launch vehicles, satellites, aircraft, and defense systems for customers across the space, aviation, defense and industrial technology markets. We are growing both organically and by acquisition.
This role sits with Electronic Fasteners, Inc. in Sanford, Florida, about 25 minutes north of downtown Orlando and an easy commute from Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, Winter Park, Oviedo, Longwood and Daytona Beach. It is a full-time, on-site sales job built for someone early in their career who wants to own customers and revenue quickly rather than wait three years for the chance.
You do not need aerospace experience, and you do not need a sales background. We will teach you the product line and the process. What we cannot teach is competitiveness, work ethic, and the willingness to pick up the phone.
If you have been looking at business development, inside sales, technical sales, industrial sales, sales representative or account executive roles, this is that job, attached to a technical product line and a real book of business.
Why this instead of a large company
You start with an existing book of accounts that already buy from us, plus responsibility for winning new ones. Within your first months you are talking directly to buyers and engineers at aerospace, space, defense, aviation and manufacturing companies, quoting live business, and making decisions that move margin. At a prime contractor, a large distributor, or a bank, that level of commercial responsibility usually takes two or three years. Here it takes weeks, because the team is small and there is nobody else to do it.
What you will do
- Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts and grow revenue inside them
- Win new business, including reactivating dormant and underdeveloped accounts
- Quote inbound RFQs accurately and inside the customer’s response window, balancing win rate against margin
- Work with Purchasing to confirm cost, availability, and lead time before you quote
- Follow up every open quote through to an order or a documented loss
- Keep quote, customer, and order records accurate in the ERP so Sales, Purchasing, and management work from the same picture
- Track your own pipeline, bookings, margin, and win rate, and present them in weekly sales reviews
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree, completed or in progress with graduation within the next year
- Evidence that you compete and finish what you start: varsity or club athletics, a leadership role, a demanding internship, a job you worked through school, something you built
- Clear, direct written and verbal communication; a large share of this job happens by phone and email
- Organization and follow-through, because quotes and customers fall through the cracks when they are not tracked
- Comfort with spreadsheets and software, and the willingness to learn new systems; our sales process runs on ERP, quoting tools, and AI-assisted applications
- Willingness to be accountable for a number in a small organization
- Ability to work full time on site in Sanford, Florida
- US work authorization
Majors that tend to do well here: business, finance, economics, marketing, communications, supply chain, engineering, and aviation management. We are open to others. What you studied matters less than how you compete.
Helpful but not required: an internship in sales, business development, recruiting, consulting, finance, or another customer-facing role; familiarity with fasteners, electronics, or industrial components; exposure to AN, AS, MS, NAS, or other MIL-SPEC hardware standards.
Compensation and benefits
- $75,000 to $90,000+ on-target earnings
- $40,000 to $65,000 base salary, determined by experience and industry knowledge
- Uncapped commission based on sales performance, account growth, and margin contribution
- Medical, 401(k), life insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays
Where this leads
The group is acquiring companies, which opens sales and leadership roles faster than a static organization does. The realistic path from here is senior account manager or account executive, then a larger or more strategic book of business, then running a sales team or a business unit. How fast that happens is a function of performance, not tenure.
How to apply
Send a resume. If you have anything that shows results, put it on there: a sales number you hit, a team you led, a business you ran, a record you set. We read for evidence of competitiveness, not for keywords.
