PAID vs. UNPAID Internships: Some of these positions are paid, while others are unpaid. If you are eligible for Federal Work Study (FWS), you may be able to receive payment for some roles that are otherwise unpaid—please contact Alisa Proctor (aproctor@soka.edu) to explore this option.
Regardless of compensation, internships can offer valuable experience, professional connections, and career clarity. When evaluating opportunities, consider not just pay but also the skills you’ll gain, the quality of supervision, and how well the experience aligns with your interests and future goals.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: If you are on an F-1 visa, you will need to apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) after receiving an offer — but before starting your internship. Please meet with Career Development to begin the CPT process.
