At Soka, your liberal arts education equips you with adaptable skills that can be applied across many fields. Many of the following internships are multidisciplinary and offer transferable skills. Internships are listed by concentration for guidance, but you are encouraged to explore opportunities outside your concentration. Follow your curiosity!
Some of these positions are paid, while others are unpaid. If you are eligible for Federal Work Study (FWS), you may be able to receive payment for some roles that are otherwise unpaid—please contact Alisa Proctor (aproctor@soka.edu) to explore this option.
Regardless of compensation, internships can offer valuable experience, professional connections, and career clarity. When evaluating opportunities, consider not just pay but also the skills you’ll gain, the quality of supervision, and how well the experience aligns with your interests and future goals.
If you are on an F-1 visa, you will need to apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) after receiving an offer — but before starting your internship. Please meet with Career Development to begin the CPT process. These internships are designed to provide real-world experience, career clarity, and professional connections — all while keeping you close to campus.
