InternX: Learn / Connect / Experience

Learn with Purpose

InternX is Soka’s signature career development program designed to empower domestic undergraduate students with the skills, tools, and mindset to confidently explore, apply for, and succeed in professional internships. Rooted in Soka’s values-driven community, InternX combines practical guidance, personalized coaching, and peer support to help students transform academic learning into real-world impact. Through weekly cohort workshops, 1:1 support from the Career Development Office, and peer collaboration, you will:

  • Build confidence in your unique strengths
  • Write standout resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles
  • Communicate authentically in interviews and networking
  • Navigate the internship search with clarity and strategy
  • Reflect and articulate your experiences, guided by the RATE Core Competencies.
  • Grow your professional network with intention and curiosity

Connect in Community

InternX is more than a program—it’s a people-first experience. As part of a small cohort, you’ll grow alongside peers, gain encouragement from CDO mentors, and learn from one another as you take the next step in your career path. You’ll also participate in career development activities and events designed to expand your skills, build your network, and deepen your understanding of professional opportunities.

Experience with Confidence

Students who complete InternX gain the skills and confidence needed to pursue internships across nonprofit, business, research, education, and public sectors. InternX participants have secured opportunities at nonprofits, startups, research labs, and a wide range of organizations, and have gone on to receive full-time job offers and graduate school acceptances, gaining valuable experiences that shape their career paths. InternX helps students launch their career journeys with clarity, confidence, and community behind them.
